Our website goes live

Not really much to say except that our website is now live.
Although it's primary aim is to assist buyers and those interested in stocking the collections, it is also useful for those potential end customers who are looking to view each collection in it's entirety.

Each one of the collections has it's own potential customer base due to the tremendous differences and individuality of them all. Although they could easily sit on the same rails in shop they won't take anything from the other styles.

If you are a shop-owner of buyer please contact me through my email address for information on viewing and stocking.

End customers please do the same and I'll assist you in whatever way I can to purchase from your local retailer.

Something to think about

I'm not going to elaborate here. I have no intention of filling a page with text.
Let's just say that I just love these styles by Alejandro de Miguel and have just secured sole agency rights for the UK. Let me know if you like them and I'll keep you in mind when I can offer them to you. Prices, sizes and availability are going to be with me shortly.

Up and running with the new collections

It's been a terrific start to our work in gaining a vital foothold in prominent retailers we have visited in the last couple of weeks since we got the sample styles from Antonio D'Errico.

The collection was received very enthusiastically and was declared as something very special by those who viewed it.

There are a few favourites already emerging. Like most collections from where ever they may come, there are some styles typically best for the European mainland countries and some which will fit in well with the needs of the UK market.

It's those styles which are being ordered and in most cases they were the ones we initially chose for our samples anyway.

Take for instance the gorgeous coat and dress below. It's a knock-out in style and has the most remarkable material to make it extra special.

Best seller from Antonio D'Errico

The price point of a lot of these styles from D'Errico are akin to those from the defunct Presen. They are competitive with the John Charles and Condici collections and are also very near to the top Cabotine prices. Of course price is only a reflection of the quality so you can be assured that these won't disappoint. Your customers will be equally pleased with them which is what matters more than anything.

We aren't looking to take business from those renowned companies, rather to complement their styles with the wonderfully unique ones we have in our collections.

There is room on most rails for these winners to sit alongside the styles you already offer and to build up a different clientèle and offer something completely different from the "usual suspects". 

Our webcounter is showing an enormous number of hits on the picture in this collection so I can see there is a tremendous public interest already.

I am eagerly awaiting the Granditalias styles. They will feature some of the new 2016 offerings. Yes 2016 already. No time like the present to get a preview and place an early order. I have been informed that I will be getting a lot of the Renoir and Modigliani styles as samples as well as new styles for next year and will post back when I receive them. The Franc Sarabia Export manager is away from Spain at present so I can't give any update on the samples I'll get from them. However there are shops eagerly awaiting to see them, as well as private customers who I will pass across to the 1st purchaser of this collection once I get my sample styles. 

This collection is the Rolls Royce of haute couture. They have some wonderfully exciting styles from this season as well as past favourites, none of which have ever been in the UK at any point in the past.

A special from the Franc Sarabia Couture collection

Our experience of this specialist market is that it is currently dominated by a few high profile collections. From a potential customer's perspective, it would be good to have something else which isn't in most shops of repute already. 

They do get tired and disheartened of visiting an endless number of shops only to find the same designer collections as were in the last shop they visited.

Show them something new and exciting and take business from "er down the road"

To give you some sense of security with the collections we offer, we will be agreeing a certain amount of exclusivity depending on local variables.

Our shop visits are now underway and if you would like a visit in the near future please get in touch. I will no doubt be contacting most shops in due course anyway but an early visit might be best arranged by personal contact.

Franc Sarabia

It's an exciting time right now. The Franc Sarabia contract has finally been agreed after some to-ing and fro-ing between ourselves and their board of directors.

I know that Pablo their export manager will be reading this blog in due course so I have to thank him for the tremendous efforts he's put in on our behalf.

At present we have no idea of what styles we will be getting from them to show but if there's any you particularly fancy seeing just drop me a line and I'll do my best.

This is an exciting collection which would grace the rails of any couture shop. It has an individuality and air of outright elegance. You will see that the attention to detail is superb with styling which makes the most of the most gorgeous of fabrics.

Antonio D'Errico

We are now in possession of the agreed styles from Antonio. You know how a young child feels the night before Xmas? Well we were just as excited at the delivery of these lovely fashions.

We weren't disappointed. They exceeded expectations. The choice of colour combinations alone is out of this world, then you have the mix and match between styles, the chance to purchase a jacket alone if you don't want the dress and all the other advantages of buying from a manufacturer who makes things at his own factory.

We have an agreed stand allocated for MODA in February. Stand E41. Naturally this is in the MODA Noir section where the most haute couture styles belong.

We are planning visits to interested retailers already so if you want us to visit with the gorgeous selection we have to show we will be pleased to hear from you.

I have it from Teresa, Antonio's wife, who is the English speaking part of the company that any order placed in November will be delivered in February. It's probable that some retailers are still short of of a substitute for the defunct Presen collection so this is a chance to get in on this collection at an early stage and make the most of the advertising being carried out.

My web-counter is a pretty clever tool. It shows me which pictures are clicked on as well of lots of other things, and allows me to build up a "hit list" of popular styles.

Forgive me for putting so many on here. The list is endless and there are others which are getting so much attention too.

Granditalias Couture

Along with Antonio D'Errico, Antonella Tacchini who owns Granditalias Couture also appreciates the significance of showing at MODA. This fine Italian fashion house produces the most beautiful styles which aims for perhaps a slightly younger woman. We are currently negotiating for a stand alongside that of Antonio D'Errico.

We are getting positive comment about this collection from the younger woman. In fact, to my knowledge there is no other fashion house which produces such styling. It has an air of elegance and uses the finest mix of materials from Shantung Silk to Cady which wears well and doesn't crease.

The prices on this collection are also very much in line with customers wishes for "something nice but at a good price".

We have especially found the made to measure service to be welcome. It costs a little more, but could be less than paying for a dressmaker to alter something bought at a specified size. At least made to measure, you just know it's going to fit.

I get so many hits on my web-counter that it would be pointless to include the "best sellers". Best to visit the collection as shown on Granditalias's own website. 

I hope to have my own site set up soon but in the meantime I'm sure you'll be more than welcome to view the pages already online here. I know that a lot of work has been put in on this site and it includes as many options to styles and the mix and match possibilities as you're likely to need.

Having seen all of these beautiful styles, if you aren't a retailer but are interested in any of the outfits, just let me know. I will be happy to advise on availability and price. You may also find it useful to contact your nearest special occasion retailer and tell them about us. If they don't already stock what you want, they may well be pleased to consider it from your enquiry.

On the other hand, if you are a retailer and wish to view the styles as sson as possible let us know too.

We know things go slack before Xmas and you also have lots of deliveries coming for the new year. That's what the business is about. However, if you're slack in the run up to Xmas then you have time to look at the sample styles and consider them in a relaxed manner. Since the November orders will be processed by the end of February you have time to get the most out of any purchase at the start of the busy mother of the bride season.

Later orders, say December onwards, will be correspondingly later in delivery. That could work well to your advantage as your stock may need replenishing at that point. Remember that the collections are All-Year too. they are in production for the whole of next year so there's no need to go crackers and buy loads to start with. Take it easy and build up as the year goes by.
